What is the Design Systems Summit?

We've been witnessing many of the world’s leading brands openly sharing their internal Design Systems. But what do you if your company or client doesn't have a design system in place or perhaps even see the need to work on one? And how do you manage, adapt and evolve a design system once you have buy in? 

Well the first step is to join us at our upcoming Design Systems Summit on Jan 15th 2018. The second step is to start preparing your questions for expert line up of speakers, who will be covering both the strategic, practical and tactical steps needed to start, sell, implement, and scale a design systems within organizations and budgets of all sizes.

Amy Thibodeau

Amy leads UX for Shopify's App and Partner Platform. Previously, she was a lead on the team that launched Shopify's design system at polaris.shopify.com. Before joining Shopify, Amy worked as one of the first members of Facebook’s product content strategy team where she championed the role of language as a building block of clear, human interface design. She was also the first member of Facebook's London, UK UX team.



Daria Shepelenko

Daria is a Product Design Lead at Canada Post where she manages a team of designers and focuses on Canada Post’s most popular web tools, iOS and Android mobile applications, and Canada Post’s first design system. Daria believes that behind any incredible product, there’s a passionate team and that mentoring designers to value collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development are often as important as the product itself.



Ryan Rumsey

Ryan lives and plays in Austin, Texas, where he is AVP of Experience Strategy at USAA. At USAA, Ryan leads the Experience Strategy team providing best-in-class target state experience strategies for USAA’s top enterprise priorities and ensures they directly link to the Corporate Strategy. In addition to working at USAA, he has held leadership roles for Apple, Electronic Arts, the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences, and Comcast.



Billy Kiely

Billy runs the Product and Design team at InVision, the world’s leading prototyping, collaboration & workflow platform. He was the first designer at InVision, and scaled the company alongside Clark, the CEO, with design thinking as one of its core values.
