Alison Cox has deep expertise in leading Customer Experience (CX) and digital strategy transformation and is an Enterprise Design Thinking Leader. Alison has leveraged design thinking to drive digital transformation for IBM’s top tier clients. With over 20 years of experience in the field of UX and usability, Alison has worked on a broad spectrum of projects, including: building enterprise level CX strategies, developing digital and mobile UX strategies; the design, development and usability testing of responsive web and mobile applications; B2E application modernization; touch screen design; information portals and knowledge management system design; and digital commerce design. Alison has worked in a broad spectrum of industries including Consumer goods, Retail, Public Sector, Finance, Insurance, and Travel & Transportation.
Senior User Experience Consultant, IBM iX
Kathy Coats is a Senior User Experience Consultant, IBM Design Thinking leader and Manager in IBM iX. She has delivery responsibility for all of Canada in designing usable, creative and innovative interfaces. Kathy has worked with IBM for 28 years delivering experiences in gathering both business and user requirements, information architecture, usability and design and in leading Design Thinking initiatives. In the last 20 years, she has focused on being an advocate for the user and the total user experience. Kathy have successfully been involved with the design and development of digital experiences for a variety of industries including, financial, insurance, retail, public sector and government. Her most recent engagements include User Experience Design Lead for organizations seeking to start or continue a design presence in all their work. She has also been instrumental in helping to grow practitioners skills in leadership, consulting, sales and Design Thinking. She is passionate in working with people helping them to find their passion and grow their skills within IBM. She will never say no to someone wanting to have a discussion with her on how to grow their skills, career or their dreams at IBM or in life.
